Forget about US election, opening days are here!
Tune out the election obsessed U.S. news cycle and welcome back winter instead. November 5 ushered in opening days for the Western Canada ski season and the timing couldn't be better.
With cooler alpine temperatures and some around-the-clock snowmaking, Lake Louise was the first ski resort in Canada to open for the 2024-25 ski season on November 5!
Next, we have Sunshine and Nakiska scheduled for Nov 8 and Mt Norquay for Nov 9.
Ready to ski? Here's a look at the Lake on one day prior to opening.

In other exciting news the Lake is also opening its new Pipestone 6-pack this season but don't expect it to be spinning just yet.
Nearby at Sunshine Village, the Super Angel XL is nearly complete. This last few days saw heli-missions to place some of the remaining equipment.
Sunshine opens (with limited terrain) on Nov 8. A day later, on Nov 9, Mt Norquay will follow suit.
We're seeing some big snowfalls in BC as well with another storm passing through dropping snow at higher mountain elevations.
