Christmas comes early, new snow for the Alberta and BC Ski Resorts

Is there a better feeling than crushing powder fields on a set of skis or on a snowboard?

This week has been a powder bonanza at many of our favorite snow filled resorts across Alberta and BC.

Here is a look at what you might have missed, or that you scored and are now sitting back with a big case of perma grin to take you into the holidays.

Your daily snow report for the week of December 15 is right here.

Check out some of those 48 hour reports and get planning to get on the slopes this weekend.

The guys and gals out at Whitewater are loving life this week with over 38cms this past 48 hours.

Whitewater is located a 30 minute drive south of Nelson, BC, along the powder highway.

Those on the coast—up at Whistler have been loving it this week, seeing they scored over THREE FEET of snow in this past week.

The Okanagan Valley hit it big this week too. Have a look at what Ullr, the god of snow, brought to Apex Mountain Resort outside of Penticton.

Or here at Big White just outside of Kelowna.

And Vernon’s SilverStar Mountain Resort saw over 20cms this past 48 hours not only packing in the base but allowing for more terrain to open including their Silverwoods Zone:

Speaking of new terrain opening today at Marmot Basin, you should see the opening of Marmot’s new Knob chair.

Banff Sunshine—the Goat’s Eye Express opens today!

All 12 lifts are now open at Banff Sunshine!

And finally lets not forget about these guys, who might not be in the mountains, but are perfect spots to hit for those either on a budget or those learning.
