Alberta is out of control! Another ski resort sees its earliest opening ever

It's been back-to-back-to-back weekends of firsts and record breakers in Alberta's early season start.

In over five decades Marmot Basin has never seen an earlier opening date than this Remembrance Day weekend.

Banff Sunshine Village looked nearly mid-winter as snow and cold hit with its first chair.

The first stack of the season!Lucky it was a soft landing ?? One can never make it to the top without crashing and burning no matter how good you are. Last weekend, Mt Norquay and Lake Louise started moving their chairs with the first 7-day a week resort opening in Western Canada.

The weekend before that, Nakiska set records with its earliest ski start ever!

It’s not just Alberta. Snow days are heading further and further west.

More resorts, like Snow Valley Ski Club, Big White, Canyon Ski resort, Fernie, Hudson Bay Mountain, Nitehawk Adventure Park, and Revelstoke Mountain Resort are hoping to get those lifts running this month.
