Watch these 2024 ski movie trailers and get stoked for ski season
The ski porn you love is coming your way for another season of ski movie tours and premieres across North America. Watching ski movie trailers is a fall rite of passage. And a wicked hit of adrenaline!
For 2024, some of the bigs like Matchstick, TGR and Warren Miller have new releases slated.
But we're also keen to see Travis Rice plotting a return to the big screen! And a few new entries in the mix too.

75 years of Warren Miller Entertainment
When you think ski movies, you better think of Warren Miller. Warren Miller Entertainment is celebrating 75 years of films this year, and celebrating the next 75 years to come.
"... and only one thing is true every single time, we ain't seen nothin yet."
This stacked lineup of skiers and snowboarders are chasing powder stashes and chutes around the world. From park to pillow lines, big airs to even bigger airs.
As always, Warren Miller Entertainment has brought the best of the best together to get us stoked for the season to come.
Trew to you: a community film project
Next to the biggest names in skiing, SnowSeekers is always keen to find the grassroots efforts just coming up.
Last season TREW challenged 10 teams to show off their communities with the TREW To You project.
"TREW To You is all about opening the doors for anyone to share their perspective & passion for the mountains."
Earlier in 2024, each team had 8 weeks to film and 4 weeks to edit a 3-5 minute short ski film. Out of these 10 teams, only one is Canadian, calling the legendary ski town of Rossland home.
editor's note: this is writer Madeline Williams' stomping grounds, so somebody in the office is extra stoked about this one! Watch for more coverage to come.
It's up to us, the viewers, to vote for our favourite of the 10 films and once voting closes, the winning team will take home $15,000. You can watch the submissions here.
The tour kicks off in Seattle on September 24th, and will be shown in Rossland on November 4. Not able to make it to Rossland? The full film, and voting, will be available online September 24.
SPLIFF, Dylan Siggers/Liam Morgan for #LINEskis
"SPLIFF is a ski movie made to make you want to go out and make your own ski movie. No helicopters, no superstars, no epic monologue behind the moments."
What this film lacks for big budget heli drops, they sure make up for in hard core make things happen and ski hard attitude.
Film maker Dylan Siggers, Fernie local, stays true to his roots, and is bringing it back to the roots of dirtbag skiing with this film.
Beyond the Fantasy, Teton Gravity Research
TGR is bringing dreams to reality in their newest film "Beyond the fantasy." When the trailer opens with a heli hover exit, you know it'll be jam packed with epic-ness. But don't worry, the crew is bringing the party too.

Shooting locations include Alaska, Jackson Hole WY, Austria, British Columbia and Norway, all bringing dreamy lines to a screen near you this fall.
Calm Beneath Castles, Matchstick Productions
Get inspired to chase the snow this season with this adventurous ski film from Matchstick. "This epic film explores the essence of finding solace in nature and being one with the mountains."
Untitled Travis Rice project ...
Is Travis Rice prepping a 2025 launch? From this teaser to "Day 1" of a new project, we're pretty stoked to see where this is going.
What would a new Travis Rice film mean? Where do we even begin. Big pow lines, epic air, all the things that make a snowboard film epic. From That's It, That's all back in 2008, to The Art Of Flight in 2011 (I can't even count how many times I played my copy of this DVD!) to the Natural Selection Tour which brings the best of the best of all-mountain freestyle snowboarding together on some of the most epic terrain out there, Rice has been at the forefront.
File this in your watchlist for some time in the months to come.
