EDMONTON, AB — Are you ready to join The Storm Revolution?!
Edmonton is bringing it new school with the launch of the Storm Snowshoe Series this winter. We’re not talking about your great uncle’s trap-line snowshoes, we’re talking high-tech light-weight wonders that will have you floating on pow and kicking up a storm!
The Storm Snowshoe Series is designed to get you off the beaten track and enjoying the best winter has to offer right in the heart of Edmonton’s River Valley. There are two events coming up in February, each one is 4 km long and will take you dashing through the snow, up over hills, and a little bit of bush-whacking for good measure. If you‘re feeling fit, you can run the course and if you’re fine you can buddy up with friend and go for a nice snowy stroll.
Storm is also offers up snowshoe rentals on the event day. You can try out a sweet pair of GV snowshoes if you are more the try-it before you buy-it type.
Snowshoeing is one of the easiest, and most fun, group activities you can do in the winter. And it gets you into some pretty sweet spaces. Photo courtesy of Gord Stermann |
The details
Snowshoeing is North America’s fastest growing winter sport (seriously) and it’s easy to see why. Snowshoeing is easy to learn, super-affordable, and something that you can do right in your own backyard.
