Coverage via Radio Canada International, the LA Times, and Techlife Magazine peaks public interest

EDMONTON, AB — Now into its fourth season, SnowSeekers has always prided itself on delivering consistent, innovative, and quality content across multiple platforms: online, TV, and mobile. Those efforts have received significant attention over the past 30 days, as the company has recently been profiled by industry heavy-hitters CBC, the LA Times, and Techlife Magazine.
Through an interview with Radio Canada International, SnowSeekers President Jim Barr spoke of his time in Silicon Valley this past June at "48 Hours in the Valley", an event that saw 20 Canadian companies meet with C100 gurus for two days of mentoring, networking, strategy sessions, and brand development.
“Being in the Valley puts it on a whole other level," Jim Barr said. "We spent a morning at Facebook, we went to a cocktail party with folks from Google and Motorola .. it’s a phenomenal opportunity because now we've got connections in the valley … just to have those guys in your rolodex, it’s amazing.”

The LA Times article focused on the use of technology at ski resorts, and highlighted SnowSeekers' efforts over the last two years with the SnowSeekers Go-Guide smartphone application (available for iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android).

Techlie Magazine featured an 8-page spread (available online as well) that profiled, in detail, Jim Barr's "48 Hours in the Valley". Barr spent two days with writer Scott Messenger during his whirlwind trip through San Francisco and the Silicon Valley, resulting in the Techlife article and perhaps the most in-depth portrayal of Barr and his company yet.
"I don't feel the same," Barr said, in regards to his time at 48 Hours int he Valley, just hours before leaving San Francisco for Edmonton. "I feel so much bigger and enthusiastic. I'm so excited to get back to Alberta."
