It’s like winning a gold medal without leaving the couch. A monumental occurrence just happened: the first snow of the season fell on many of our favourite places across western Canada.
It’s time to jump for joy as our old friend Ullr is back. Taking a look at all of these pictures of our first snowfall of the season, it brings back a ton of super memories of hanging with friends and family on the slopes, the après and the adventures.
The first snowfall of the season puts a spring in your step and a seed gets planted in the brain. What will this season bring in terms of adventures? What new destinations will be explored? How much fun is it going to be in less then three months to be able to head out and play in this winter wonderland we call Western Canada?
Now is the time to start talking with friends and family about the places you will go, the stops to explore. Now is the time to let your thoughts wander onto the slopes, challenge yourself this year to head somewhere new, perhaps switch it up – are you a skier, have you ever tried snowboarding? A snowboarder who gets to try skiing for the first time?
We are so fortunate to call Alberta and BC home, as we learned last year, from our SnowSeekers correspondent Ted Shred, there are over 78 ski and snowboard destinations across our two provinces. How many have you tried and what is your bucket list looking like for the season?
Not sure where to ski or board this winter? Check out our resort recommender and get stoked! It’s time to start “thinking snow”.
Lay down a few comments in the Facebook comment field below, tell us where you want to go this season, I am sure we’ve got a few tips to help get you there.
