Off the top of the Stoke chair you’ll head skiers’ left past the warming hut and down the cat track. Once the cat track starts to head back up hill, you can hike it if you want, or drop down and traverse all the way to the left. Stay as high as you can until you reach the boundary line. Jalapeno drops in straight below you.
A nice steep run with some evenly placed trees make this one a lot of fun. This run can get pretty mogul-ly long after a fresh snow and get your legs burning nicely. To the right and left are some fun trees but be sure to head right on the lower section or you may find yourself diverted to somewhere you don’t want to be.
Jalapeno will hook you up with Devil’s Club and take you all the way to the bottom, unless you find the Ninja traverse that leads you back to the Stoke Chair. Make friends with some locals and they’ll help you out with this part. Unfortunately, the Ninja Traverse is not recommended for snowboarders, as it will cause you to furiously hate life. However, this side of the mountain frequently gets the most sunshine and offer great views of the Columbia River valley, making life worth living.
