Quebec-based coverage will expand SnowSeekers audience
FEB. 26, 2015 – The unique charm of Mount Tremblant, Mont-Sainte-Anne and others Quebec resorts will be portrayed in SnowSeekers media, as the company expands its coverage across the country.
Quebec City-based Francis Argouin has joined the company as its blogger and social media correspondent for Quebec. This marks a new expansion interest for Seekers Media into Eastern Canada, and puts SnowSeekers reach beyond its current coverage base of British Columbia and Alberta.
Argouin is former marketing manager for Sun Peaks Resort and now marketing manager for Rocky Mountain Bikes, a Vancouver-based company with sales outlets around the world. His new role will help Seekers to fulfill its commitment to the Canadian Tourism Commission’s SkiCanadaNow campaign.
For the remainder of the winter season, Argouin is travelling to several Quebec resorts, telling stories about the winter culture of La Belle Province.
“Francis is producing Quebec-based content that helps attract more eastern Canadians to the SnowSeekers website,” said Jim Barr (aka Doc Pow), Seekers Media founder.
Exposing Quebecers to content about their local resorts will attract them to find out more about Alberta and B.C. destinations, encouraging east travellers west. Barr said.
“The goal to this is to generate more interest among people in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, to get outside and experience Canada’s winters while at the same time encourage consideration time and ultimately travel commitments in going west for the ultimate in ski and snow adventures,” he said.
