BANFF, AB — Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort will get into the giving spirit of the holidays this Friday, with the annual tri-area Community Ski Day.
“This is a great opportunity to ski all three of the Bow Valley’s fantastic resorts,” said John Scurfield, Senior Vice-president Resort operations, Marketing and Sales. “All the funds raised are donated to worthy Bow Valley causes who appreciate the support.”
With the purchase of a $30 +GST ticket, residents of the Bow Valley can enjoy a full day of skiing or riding at Sunshine Village. All money raised will be donated to a worthy community cause in the Bow Valley area. The event continues Saturday at Mt. Norquay and Sunday at Lake Louise.
Proceeds going to a great cause
With money raised from Bow Valley locals, the three resorts have been able to support numerous causes, including the Banff YWCA, the Canadian Women's Biathlon Team, The Banff Child Care Centre and many more.
Last year, proceeds raised at the Sunshine Village Community Ski Day were donated to the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital.
For those who have been holding off, this event offers a great opportunity to rediscover the champagne powder at Sunshine Village while giving back to the community.
Please note: ID and proof of local residence will be required to purchase a discounted lift ticket.
