The Courtenay Museum features paleontology, First Nations and Pioneer exhibits. Home to the 12 Metre long elasmosaur, an 80 million year old marine reptile found on the banks of the Puntledge River in Courtenay. Other fossils include mosasaurs turtles, sharks, ammonites and other marine fossils from the age of dinosaurs.
