Experience the Okanagan and SilverStar like never before
I can personally attest this prize pack is kick-ass awesome.
SilverStar Mountain Resort's "Experience the Okanagan" contest is serving up a three-part, three-season grand prize worth over $7,500. And I've enjoyed it all and can vouch for its fabulousness.
Experience the Okanagan includes a three-day ski trip to SilverStar for winter frolic, a return to the Valley in the spring or fall for epic house-boating on Shuswap Lake and a summer jaunt back to SilverStar for hiking and biking. The contest closes on January, 31 2019 at 11:59pm PST, so enter today.
There's lots of soft, deep snow and blue-sky days at SilverStar.
"Basically, we've pulled together the best of the Okanagan in one amazing prize package for one amazing couple or family to win," said SilverStar marketing director, Ian Jenkins. "Experience the Okanagan connects the mountain to the lake by combining SilverStar's incredible winter and summer offerings with the houseboating. It's the first time we've put up a prize this extensive."
SilverStar's village is compact and is centred around its colourful Old West-style pedestrianized Main Street.
It's not just about downhill at SilverStar, because there's also cross-country skiing on 65 miles of groomed trains, 10 miles of trails for fat biking and snowshoeing, plus skating and hockey on the frozen pond and four lanes of tubing.
If you win Experience the Okanagan, your ski trip for two between March 1, 2019 and April 7, 2019 will include four nights accommodation in a one-bedroom unit, three days of skiing with equipment rentals and transfers to and from Kelowna International Airport with Let's Go Transportation. In the spring or fall, you'll board one of Waterway Houseboats' luxurious Genesis 66 models, which sleeps up to 24, for a three-day weekend or four-day mid-week cruise on glistening Shuswap Lake.

My family and I took a Waterway houseboat out last year and quickly decreed it our new favourite way to vacation for the surreal lake-mountain-and-blue-sky views and rest and relaxation, but also the exhilaration of slipping down the waterslide on the back and jumping off the top deck. The winner can also choose to redeem the value of spring or fall houseboating ($5,170) toward an upgrade to another boat or a sailing in the summer season.
Summer at the Star is equally excellent.
You'll see for yourself when you return to the resort for the summer portion of your prize for two nights of on-mountain accommodation and bike rentals for a day to explore the downhill or cross-country trails. There's also the option to ride the chairlift or gondola to do some alpine hiking. Learn more about SilverStar's biking adventures here.
