Her husband, Al Raine and Nancy Greene welcome guests most days at 9 a.m. with a free shred session with both of them to get yourself sorted. You can also link onto Channel 4 and get the "Inside Edge" from Al, who provides a forecast for the day and the best places to ski.
Canada's second largest resort is calling your name. Plan your winter vacation today!
"I had one guest tell me that these were the best tips and ‘why don’t you share them with the rest of the resort,’” said Reine. “My answer is if I was to tell the entire village that the best snow today would be found on Mount Morrisey, what would that do to the line ups over there?"
A step away from the lifts
Just next door at the Delta Sun Peaks Resort; a stay here features some luxury touches, including an outdoor pool and hot tub and some of the comfiest of beds.
The resort features an attractive shuttle service that will have you and your gear at Delta’s front door from the Kamloops airport within 45 minutes of landing.
“You can literally throw a rock to the lifts,” said hotel rep, Derek Andrews. “People stay here for weeks just because of our location. That and the underground heated parking, laundry, the design of the rooms and all the amenities they come with.”
Other options
There are a number of lodges and hotels available, but you also have the choice of staying in some other impressive settings including chalets that can hold anywhere from two to 40 people.
Alternately, you can opt for the Sun Peaks International Hostel or the Horie Sun Lodge, a Japanese-owned bed and breakfast which overlooks the resort village and offers the same a ski-in, ski-out advantages of the centrally located lodges.
