February and March winter festivals and ski resort events crank up the winter fun to a whole new level! Check out these fests to amp your time in the mountains and fuel your apres.
Feb 2 - 19 Chinook Blast
Calgary AB
Hit the Canadian Rockies for a ski or ride, and head back into Calgary for two weeks of music and entertainment, cranked up with some fat biking events. Read up on it in Tyler Dixon’s story for FestivalSeekers.com and get ready to roll.
Feb 2 - 11 Vernon Winter Carnival
Vernon BC
Shred the slopes at SilverStar, then apres in Vernon. The Vernon Winter Carnival is Canada’s longest running winter fest, with roots back to 1893, and tons of fun events that fill and thrill the community.
Feb 15 - 17 Block Heater
Calgary AB
Grab a day shredding in the Banff Rockies, then party in Calgary at night. The Calgary Folk Music Festival brings the heat to Calgary.
This one is wild! Motor mayhem on ice. Details are still coming out but you’ll want to add it to your calendar.
Mar 2 Wells Winter Wonders Carnival
Wells BC
Wells BC, at the foot of the Cariboos, is a community that knows how to throw a party, and now they’ve launched a new winter festival. With Troll Ski Resort just down the road, this is a formula for good times all around.
March SEISMIC Fest - SilverStar Mountain Resort
Vernon BC
This epic three week fest takes over the mountain at SilverStar through March. Dates to be announced, but you’ll want to aim to be there. Consider this your “save the date.”
That will carry us well into March, when things really start heating up, literally and metaphorically, with spring skiing and mountainside fiestas. So don’t sleep, and get out there, the season is happening now. Let the good times flow!
