Like a little rock n' roll on the slopes? Ski slopes named Revolution, Twist and Shout, and Satisfaction makes Powder King your kind of place. Known as the 'Whisper of the North' by the locals for its near unbelievable snowfall counts, this is a place where you'll have to have a good sense of direction. That's because locals have been known to steal the sign off the highway to keep this powder gem to themselves. Powder King is about 45 minutes north of Prince George, B.C., and offers up a variety of snow-seeking satisfaction, from heli-skiing to snowshoeing in an old-growth forest.

The terrain here is varied and not overly steep unless you venture into some of the "out of bounds" locations. From Powder King you can make some impressive hikes which doesn't put you into much avalanche risk.

Powder King Mountain Resort is located 45 minutes west of the community of Chetwynd, in the pristine wilderness of Pine Pass located in northeastern British Columbia (B.C.).
Driving:
75 minutes from Dawson Creek, BC
3.5 hours from Prince George, BC
3 hours from Grand Prairie, AB
8.5 hours from Edmonton, AB
Rail service to Prince George, B.C. is available through VIA Rail.
The nearest airport is located in Dawson Creek, a regional airport is served by Central Mountain Air. Larger airports are located in Prince George, B.C. and Grand Prairie, Alberta. These airports are served by Air Canada, WestJet, Central Mountain Air, and Airco.
Shuttle service is available from Prince George and MacKenzie every day that the resort is open. It also offers shuttles from Grand Prairie on weekends.
