Where else can you ski by the hour? Known as the local's favourite, this small and friendly resort is located within minutes from downtown Banff and seen from most prts of the town. Mt. Norquay has six lifts and 60 runs, to suit all skiing abilities. Experts can whoop it up on the gnarly Lone Pine, while cruisers will love Bruno's Gully. Switch your skis or snowboard for a snow tube and slide the slopes in the tube park.

Cascade Lodge and The North American Lodge have all your breakfast, lunch and apres ski food. Head up the stairs in the Cascade Lodge to the Lone Pine Pub for a pint. Or, linger over lunch at the classic and delicious Cliffhouse Bistro. There is not a better view of the Bow Valley than from the windows of the Bistro!

Getting There
Norquay is the closest ski resort to Banff and Canmore and less than an hour from Calgary.
From Calgary, you won't finish your large coffee before reaching the turn off to Mount Norquay. Head west on the TransCanada for 112 km (69mi). Take the second Banff exit, turn right on Mt. Norquay Road. A short drive up the switchbacks and you are there. From Canmore - buy a small coffee - Norquay is only 25 km west. From Banff - skip the coffee it's only 6 km from downtown Banff.
Calgary International Airport is the closest airport for domestic and international travellers. Car rental agencies are within the airport complex. Shuttle companies are available by reservation from the airport to take you to the town of Banff.
Daily bus service from: Banff Springs Hotel, Rocky Mountain Resort, Inns of Banff (across the street), Banff Caribou Lodge, Delta Royal Canadian Lodge, Ptarmigan Inn, Banff Park Lodge and Mount Royal Hotel (parking lot at rear).
